EuroEyes appoints two world-leading ophthalmologists to its International Medical Advisory Board

Hong Kong, 13 June 2022 – EuroEyes International Eye Clinic Limited (“EuroEyes” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”, HKEX: 1846) announced it has appointed Professor Gerd Auffarth, Chairman of The Department of Ophthalmology the Heidelberg University Eye Hospital, and Professor Dan Reinstein, Founder of and Medical Director at London Vision Clinic, to the EuroEyes International Medical Advisory Board (IMAB)*.

Professor Gerd Auffarth is one of the world’s leading intraocular lens experts and a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO). In 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020, he was elected as one of the most influential ophthalmologists in the world, and has received more than 180 awards for his scientific works. Professor Gerd Auffarth will act as a consultant for EuroEyes in developing new surgical techniques and enhancing patient care.

Professor Dan Reinstein, a pioneer in laser eye surgery, has made enormous contributions to the field with breakthrough research and sharing of insights at medical and healthcare panels. He built the prototype of what would become the Artemis Insight 100™ scanner – currently the world’s most accurate corneal scanner. The discovery made him the first person in the world equipped to identify the causes of complications in early laser eye surgery. This method is now recognised as a gold standard for evaluating candidates for refractive surgery.
